DESIGN OF PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARDS

The reasons we design the PCB (Printed Circuit Board) ourselves are hardware adaptation to our own needs, reliability and unique design. We are able to design aluminum PCB, FPCB, FR4 PCB, FPC PCB, as well as single-layer and multilayer printed boards for various applications

DESIGN OF CONTROL UNITS

In the laboratory we design the shape and construction of the control unit, as well as all of its components.

We are able to design control units of various types and variations according to the requirements of our clients.

DESIGN OF TRANSFORMER

The transformer is designed according to special specifications resulting from mathematical calculations, development and testing by a professional team. Each transformer is designed according to the purpose of the end products and its role is to reduce the faults of other components.

DESIGN OF TOOLS AND MECHANICAL COMPOUNDS

When developing new tools, our designers create a conceptual design, a sketch, which engineers form into the actual product later.

We are able to produce every kind of tool, which, in agreement with the wishes and needs of our clients, is primarily designed.

PROTOTYPE DESIGN

Designing and prototype realising makes timely testing possible. After defects are identified, the prototype is redesigned, in order to correspond to a greater extent to the real piece. On the basis of the prototype, an adequate tool for making components is made in further process, and thus prepares us to enter the production process.

  1. 3D printer This type of printing allows us to easily and quickly reach the first prototype, in order to examine the basic properties of the future product. Within a few hours, a completely new physical prototype can be generated. The benefits of prototype production allow experimenting with physical objects with little time consumption, designers create more complex parts without spending significant time and money  and reduce physical work in production.
  2. CNC and manual machines – In the design of the prototype, CNC and manual machines are used for the processing of metals and plastics.

DESIGNING OF LIGHTNING COMPONENTS

For the needs of the Weiss Light company, but also as service, we design and manufacture components of lighting fixtures:

  1. Diffuser – Designing the diffuser allows us to provide the maximum angle of dissipation of useful light.
  2. Casing – We design casings which  at the same time play the role of a cooler in each lighting fixture. The heat generated is released through a cooler located in the centre of the casing itself. Designed according to the calculation of thermal dissipation, results in a long lifetime of lighting.
  3. Cooler – Its role is to provide a long lifetime of electronic components. In order to make the design process successful, it is necessary to accurately make a calculation of the thermal dissipation of the housing and cooler, that is, the calculation of the processes of cooling and heat conduction. We are able to design high quality coolers on demand for different lighting fixtures and according to their characteristics

SECTOR PRODUCTION DEPARTMENT

Weiss Light is the manufacturer of LED lighting in all its forms, but the parallel production program has been developed alongside it. So nowadays, all the things we design and then we produce from electronics and electrical components, we also produce for wide and various end purposes.

The production program has an organised system of production of final product components, controlled by a computer system

DEPARTMENT FOR TOOL AND MECHANICAL SETS PRODUCTION

Own construction and production of tools means that changes can be made easily and? quickly, or turn from one model to another. After designing the tools, they are then produced on CNC machines (Computer Numerical Control) which are programmed by using a computer. The programmer for the CNC machine performs the designing, transfer of design into the computer, control, translation of the design into machine language and engineering. We can produce every kind of tool

The machines that we own in the plants are:

DEPARTMENT FOR PLASTICS PROCESSING

In the plastic processing plant, , we process all plastic granules on the most modern machines, with the help of dryers and industrial thermoregulators, which enable us to heat or cool all the tools if necessary.

The technologies we use in plastic processing are:

  1. Extrusion (PC, ABS, PA6)
  2. Injection (PE, PP, PC, PA6, PA66, ABS)
  3. Blow moluding

PRODUCTION OF CONTROL UNITS

By creating control units, we have enabled control of the quality and quantity of the illuminated light and the production of adequate, precise and unique components for each product, which ensures their long-term service life and influence the quality of the finished product.

PRODUCTION OF TRANSFORMERS

Depending on the purpose, we can meet all the specific requirements regarding electrical characteristics.

In addition to the transformer manufacturing operator, we have an operator to test it, and we strongly support the product.

SMT DEPARTMENT FOR SETTING AND BRAZING OF COMPONENTS

The SMT (Surface Mount Technology) production line is used for setting and brazing of electronic components on printed boards and control units. The SMT production line consists of the following machines:

  1. Automatic SMD paste applying printer
  2. Soldering furnace with closed chamber and possibility of setting different temperature profiles
  3. Three P’N’P (pick and place) machines for installing SMD (Surface-Mount Device) components at pre-programmed locations, with precise mechanics and composition capability of up to 34,000 components per hour, and the smallest component that can be positioned is size 0201
  4. Machine for testing the quality and the function of the brazing

PRODUCTION OF WRAPPING MATERIAL AND PACKAGING

We also have a division dealing with the production of plastic packaging and blister packaging. Production of packaging within the factory provides us complete finalisation of finished products.

This department is equipped with specialised machines that are used for thermoforming of foils using a vacuum:

  1. Thermoforming machine
  2. Automatic and quick thermoforming machine
  3. Ultrasonic welding machine
  4. Hydraulic press

DEPARTMENT FOR ASSEMBLY OF PRODUCTS

Due to the sensitivity of electronic components, precision and quality, assembly of the product is performed manually. In this department, all products are finalised using soldering machines, vacuum machines for applying thermoconductive paste and thermoconductive adhesive, pneumatic screwdrivers and various measuring devices, and afterwards the final product is ready for testing.

WORKSHOP

We also offer the services of following departments:

  1. Tinsmith – CNC machine for cutting metal plates and CNC bending machines for metal plates (up to 2m width and 5mm thickness). Cutting and bending of sheet metal, grinding, welding or soldering. In addition to the construction of new sheet metal structures, we also repair damaged and worn constructions.
  2. Locksmiths – Production of metal items, parts of metal structures, sheet metal and metal profiles processing. Different working operations are available: cutting, moulding, grinding, drilling, electro-welding.
  3. Plastification – As the most common type of surface protection there is also plastification. Upon request we apply paint, chrome, nickel.
  4. Engraving and cutting – A CNC machine for laser engraving and cutting allows precise, computer-guided engraving on various materials as well as their cutting.

SECTOR DEPARTMENT FOR LIGHTING FIXTURES REPAIR

We are the only company in Europe that offers repair services for all lighting fixtures, old lights, bells, lamps, torches, street lighting, everything you own in your business premises, production facilities, industrial halls or households.

With this procedure we bring lighting fixtures that were used and worn back to their original condition.

Our repair service also includes automatic switching from existing to LED lighting through modification of the interior of the casing and further replacement of bulbs with adequate LED light sources.

The repair process has the following course:

  • disassembling lighting fixtures
  • sandblasting
  • plastification
  • design of light source according to the suggested solution
  • design of appropriate power supply and cooler
  • manufacturing of the components

After the finalisation of this process, the object of repair is subjected to testing and quality control.

The use of repairs department services, according to our proposals, enables clients to reduce investment costs.

Application of this type of technology is possible in all buildings, as well as where the emphasis is placed on maintaining the reinforcement and it is not allowed to make changes in the appearance of the facade, without any effect on the existing electrical installation.

SECTOR DEPARTMENT FOR QUALITY CONTROL AND TESTING

Quality control implies control of the design, production process and end-products, and then their testing. The quality of all parts of equipment, materials, structures and components is subject to regulations and standards.

The management of this sector has enabled us to ensure compliance with contractual specifications, mandatory regulations and quality standards.

First of all, we should mention that our business is in line with the following standards:

  • ISO 9001 – Quality management
  • ISO 14001 – Environment protection management
  • ISO 18001 – Occupational Health and Safety Management

All lighting fixtures that come out of our plants are in accordance with the CE standard, and the reliability is indicated by the EMC and LVD tests. In addition to the exterior, the factory also performs internal tests in several categories for semi-finished and finished products:

  • Lighting fixtures consumption
  • Quantity of light illuminated
  • Colour of the light
  • Light quality
  • Efficiency level

In this sector we have dedicated testers, machines and devices for testing and quality control:

  • Visual inspection device, checking the positions of the components
  • Device for testing printed boards
  • Device for testing control units
  • Device for transformer testing
  • Device for light parameters testing

Each new product is tested in real conditions, indicating whether the production process is performed properly and allows engineers to verify and improve it before starting the serial production.

SECTOR RECYCLING DEPARTMENT

What also represents our advantage is the fact that in factories we have a special recycling sector based on the principles of ecology and preservation of the environment, which involves the collection, separation, processing and production of new products from used items or materials. Most of our products are made from recyclable biodegradable polymers, or from materials that are environmentally friendly. All that does not go through process of control and serves for testing, that remains in the production, write-offs and bulbs returned, pass through recycling treatment in this department, leaving us no waste materials in production.

How does the Weiss Light  contribute to environmental preservation with this department? First of all, when used materials are recycled through a new production process, we automatically reduce the need to use new resources. Using recycled materials in production we save energy, because far less is consumed when we make new products from recycled materials. Besides, recycling is an important factor in preserving the natural environment, because energy savings contribute to reduced emissions of gases. And last but not least, the fact is that with this process we reduce the amount of waste that is deposited in landfills.

SECTOR INSTALLATION AND WORKS

We perform installation of complete wiring in newly constructed facilities, as well as alteration, reconstruction or replacement of existing installations in old buildings and their maintenance. We specialise in designing and constructing lighting systems for various purposes, for illuminating all areas and facilities. Our quality solutions result in rationalisation of costs and savings in electricity consumption. All works are carried out according to the existing regulations, technical instructions and standards, and the material and equipment used for performing of installations are in correlation with the existing regulations.

Upon completion of the work, a detailed inspection is carried out – the functioning of the installations and lighting fixtures is examined.

Our advantages are short terms, top quality, regular maintenance of electrical installations and lighting, service maintenance as well as emergency interventions, and our highly qualified electricians are licensed and operate at altitude.

We are fully responsible for the completeness, durability and quality of the product.
